  • Metal
  • Recyclables
  • Fridges and Freezers - gambier flag stops - no room for fridges, you can be added to a waitlist in case of cancellations.
  • NEW!! Large format batteries - No Lithium at this time. (updated June 15th)


Not collecting in 2026

  • Paint, propane tanks, tires, mattresses

  • 2026 Registration Form - required for flag stops

    Please read before registering

    • Registration is required for flag stops. 
    • Registration is not required for land events, but helpful for us to get an idea of numbers.
    • At land events dropping off of a special item (this year is fridges and newly added large batteries (but not lithium)) will be on a first come first serve until we run out of room.
    • Registering does not guarantee we will take your special items, late registrations may be rejected. 
    • In order to improve the efficiency we may request residents to join neighbours wherever possible. If you're willing to be a "grouped collection" point please let us know.
    • We will be strictly adhering to the 1 cubic meter per household for garbage and scrap metal combined.
    • For flag stops, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES drive your boat towards the barge and expect to be able to drop stuff off. It is dangerous and can damage your boat. 

    Note: registrations must be received at least 2 fridays before your event weekend aka 1 week prior to the event weekend. 
    Registration for Keats Flag Stops on July 5 is closed.
    Registration for Nelson Flag Stops on July 12 is closed.  
    Registration for Thormanby and Trail on July 11 is closed.
