2023 Kick Off

The 2023 Islands Clean Up is on its way in July and August. Registration is required for special items (even at land events) and for flag stops..

Find the schedule on the right and Gambier Flag stops should make note that there are 2 days scheduled.

This year we will be collecting:

Regular Items:

• Scrap metal (including appliances eg. stove) - NOT including fridges or freezers
• Garbage (including glass)
• Household recycling like cardboard, paper and plastic containers
• Metal containers like soup tins or beer cans should be kept separate and can go in the scrap metal
• Small Batteries (including AA and AAA etc)

Special Items for 2023:

• Tires (max 4)
• Propane tanks (must be empty)
• Paint (must have label and a lid) - empty cans go in scrap metal or garbage
• Large batteries (aka car batteries)

Items we're pilot testing: Complete the registration form to request having these collected.

• Electronics
• Marine Debris

Not Collecting this year, back next year:

• Fridges and freezers
• Mattresses
