Treatment Plant Upgrades Project
The SCRD has been working with a consultant to provide engineering services for the design of the wastewater collection and treatment system improvements to reduce infiltration and inflow and bring the Woodcreek Park Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operation, effluent quality and discharge system into regulatory compliance. These upgrades aim to enhance the facility's reliability, efficiency, and adherence to modern standards.
In 2022, the SCRD received a federal government investment of $461,400 and a provincial government investment $307,600 to complete the necessary improvements to the Woodcreek Park WWTP.
The upgrades to the WWTP include the following:
New Screen
New Lift Station
New Recirculating Textile Media Filters
Replacing Pumps and Control Equipment
