We are just over halfway through the engagement period for the Water Strategy. Here are some ways you can get involved before the engagement period ends on June 30, 2022.
The Project Team is hosting an online event tonight, June 7 at 7:00PM, “Hey SCRD, what are you doing about water?” SCRD staff will give a short presentation about the projects that the SCRD is working on right now to increase water supply and reduce the likelihood of escalating Water Conservation Regulations to Stage 4 in the summer months. A Question & Answer session will follow the presentation. You can join the meeting here.
Roundtable Discussions. The SCRD is seeking community members from each water system to brainstorm community-generated ideas for the draft Water Strategy. There are still spots available. Meeting dates are here and to register, please email waterstrategy@scrd.ca. We hope you can join these important discussions!
What’s next? The survey is open until June 30. Please help spread the word!
