It's Time to Talk About the Future of Our Region

What does the Sunshine Coast look like to you in five, ten, twenty years time? What will neighborhoods look like? How's about our parks and roads? What impact may climate have on our plans?

The SCRD's Official Community Plan Renewal will provide the guidebook to help answer those questions and decide how the region grows and changes in the future.

Here's the best part. YOU get to have a say in WHAT this guidebook looks like.

Why are we talking about this now?

The Sunshine Coast is an incredible place to live, which has led to population growth and affordability challenges. The region also has ongoing needs that require careful, collaborative planning, such as for: drought, aging infrastructure, hazardous areas, sensitive ecosystems, more frequent and intense winter storms. To address these challenges the region needs clear, consistent plans, developed in partnership with the community as well as science-based professionals, for how it will safely and affordably develop into the future.
