It's Time to Talk About the Future of Our Region
What will the Sunshine Coast look like in five, ten, twenty years time? What will our neighborhoods look like? What will our parks and roads look like? What impact will climate have on our plans?
The Sunshine Coast Regional District’s Official Community Plan Renewal will provide the guidebook to help answer these questions and decide how the region will grow and change in the future.
Here’s the best part.YOU get to have a say in WHAT this guidebook looks like.
Why are we talking about this now?
The seven existing OCPs range from seven-30 years old and are structured using different tools and approaches, making it challenging to work together on community-wide challenges. Doing this now will enable us to better work together to plan for, and respond to, challenges that span across community boundaries.
A new plan will enable SCRD to providebetter service to achieve community goals in a cost-effectiveway.
