Apply for the 2025 LIFE Program starting November 1

Get ready for winter registration! Is your budget too tight to allow your family to participate in recreation? Maybe we can help! Apply now for the SCRD LIFE Program and get access to the programs and physical activity you need to stay healthy. Birthday parties and aquatic leadership courses are now included in the registered opportunities that are covered by LIFE benefits. Application forms for the 2025 calendar year are available November 1.

Gibsons Pool Closed for Maintenance Work

Gibsons Pool will be closed temporarily starting Friday November 15 until Sunday November 17 so that the roof top air handling unit can be replaced. The roof top air handling unit has reached its end of life. A loading zone will be set up in front of the Gibsons pool and a crane will be onsite to remove the old unit and install the new one. The parking lot will be closed while this work is done. The Gibsons pool will re-open at 6:30 am on Monday November 18.

Winter Wonderland Skate

Come join us for a Winter Wonderland Skate at Gibsons & Area Community Centre between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Lights, Christmas trees and music for a magical skating experience.

Admission is included with your MYPASS or pay the drop-in admission.
