What is not in scope / part of this project?
The SCRD does not maintain jurisdiction over the trails, parking or swimming areas at Hopkins Landing. The table below outlines what is NOT in scope / part of this project.

| Changes to parking | The streets around Hopkins Landing are the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. |
| Trail improvements | Trails around Hopkins Landing are not maintained or managed by the SCRD. |
| Designated swimming area | The swimming area around the dock is not under the SCRD's jurisdiction so a designated swimming area is not in scope of this project. |
| Increases to size of the dock | The SCRD leases the dock and a small surrounding area, there is no possibility of the dock being expanded beyond its current footprint. |
| Service level upgrades such as a shed, crane or water line | The budget for this project allows for renovation with some small improvements. |
