FAQs

What is Let's Talk SCRD?

Let's Talk SCRD is an engagement platform launched by the Sunshine Coast Regional District in April 2021.

Why have we launched Let's Talk SCRD?

This is a new way for us to get your feedback and ideas on SCRD projects. We'll post information on each project such as reports, maps and videos, then we'll ask for your feedback through surveys, polls and Q&As. This isn't a replacement for public events or phone calls or talking to real people face-to-face.

How do I sign up?

Signing up is an easy five step process.

  1. Click on the Register / Sign Up button
  2. Choose a username & password
  3. Add your email address and Electoral Area (Don't know your Electoral Area? Visit www.scrd.ca)
  4. You will receive an email asking to confirm your email address
  5. To Sign In - click the "Sign In" button on the main page

Why do I need to sign up?

Signing up helps you to Stay Informed about projects. Also, it allows the SCRD to ensure that those who are leaving comments & taking part in engagement are doing so in a meaningful way.

How do I provide input on projects?

When you click into each project you will see options that are available for you to provide input. These range from surveys, polls, opportunities to ask questions and to post on idea boards. You need to be signed in to provide input and any comments you make will appear under your username.

What happens to my input?

Your input will be sent onto the relevant managers who are leading projects in the SCRD. In most cases, these staff members are listed within projects under "Who's Listening."
