Why curbside recycling?
According to the SCRD's 2014 waste composition analysis, residential curbside garbage contained on average 25% of recyclable items such as paper, plastic and metal containers. These items can all be recycled and when they make their way into curbside garbage they take up vital landfill space.
What's on the table?
In the questionnaire the SCRD proposed two potential collection methods. The service would be every other week and would be combined with the weekly green bin collection. The two collection methods are outlined below.
